According to Daniel Goleman when you have mastered the art of self-awareness then you can truly practice self-control.


Here are some ideas you can do to get you started in practicing this skill.


1. Take five minutes out of your day and be still. Pay attention to your thoughts and your body during this time. Having a difficult time being still then try journaling.


2. Take a personality test see link in profile for the enneagram test. Knowing your strengths and weakness, as well as how you relate to others can increase your own self awareness


3. Learn what your Love Language is. Go online and take the test. It will show you how you like to be loved.
