Combating Stinking Thinking: Postive Affirmations

Did you know it takes 5 positive things for every 1 negative thing you or someone else tells you. That is why it's important that you guard the things we tell ourselves, especially when it comes to our negative self talk.
Positive self-affirmations is a wonderful tool to use to help create new patterns of thinking. Remember the way we think leads to the way we feel and act. Therefore, let's use the power of our words and start speaking truth into our life.
You can start by using the following formula, ”I am ______, ” and then fill in the blank with a positive word about yourself. You want to then speak these affirmations out loud at least three times a day. It's not enough to just think the phrase to yourself, you must say them out loud so you can hear yourself and help reinforce and internalize this new belief. I recommend writing these phrases and posting them around your place.
