Optimism has been shown to help prevent depression. Thankfully, like any other skill optimism is something that can be learned. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One simple thing you can implement into your daily routine to help exercise optimism is to have a gratitude journal.
In your journal write 3-5 things you are grateful for, include in the journal things you did right not only things that happened to you.
You can take it one step further by sharing some things you are grateful for with others.
Prior to starting this new routine I would encourage you to take the Seligman's Optimism test to see where you are and after practicing some of the optimism exercises retake the test in three months to see if anything has changed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
